Portable ArtRage v2.11 (beta-test) Updated 21/03/2007

ArtRage 2.0 is a fun and easy to use painting tool for Windows that lets you play with realistic paints on your computer. You can create your own paintings from nothing, load in photos and recreate them with oil paints, pencils, felt pens, or any of the other tools ArtRage has to offer. You can experiment with metallic paint for gold leafing, sprinkle shiny glitter, fill in large areas with the paint roller, and generally paint, smudge, and smear your way to your very own masterpiece.

This is my first attempt to make a safe portable that can be run even on a PC with previous installation of ArtRage, without corrupting it . This type of portable has a special launcher will do the following (in order):

1) Backup settings from Registry (if there are any)
2) Put in portable settings to Registry (incl. reg info)
3) Run the app (ArtRage)
4) Restore original settings to Registry

This app still in testing, if you got any ideas, comments, critics, please do so by replying to this topic. Thanks

1) added function to backup and restore setting (not reg info!) file, the ArtRage.prs
(in %APPDATA%\AmbientDesign\ArtRage 2)
2) license information (username, serial number) is restored when app close, thus preserving
the (if there are) legit version installed on the PC
